"A small and beautiful mosque, elegant and ancient, it was the first mosque built in Acre (1515 AD).
Interesting information about it was provided on the Acre Net website (with some modifications):
- The mosque has many names, such as: "The Sea Mosque," "Sinan Mosque" (in reference to its builder), "The Mina Mosque," and "The Jarina Mosque."
- The Sea Mosque building in its current location was designed by the Ottoman architect Sinan Pasha during the reign of Suleiman Pasha. Its area is approximately 448 square meters, and includes the prayer hall, accompanying rooms, restrooms, and the inner courtyard.
- The mosque resembles the nearby Al-Jazzar Mosque in its exterior and interior design.
- He is considered the greatest architect of the sixteenth century, surpassing European architects. He taught Islamic architecture and built more than 441 buildings."
