Reviews Summary

Beit Eshel is appreciated for its historical significance as a UNESCO World Heritage site, offering a glimpse into biblical Beer Sheva with its ancient ruins, well, and scenic overlook. While some find it small and suggest more modern explanations, history buffs and those seeking a peaceful, insightful visit often find it rewarding, especially during sunset.

"Really cool old city of be'er Sheva. They have a old well with the olden days trough, seems to be the towns well for them and their animals to drink from. You can see the bottom of the front gates of the the city/town. It's a small place that you can walk around in about a half hour. There's a tall platform that overlooks the whole place plus you can see the whole area around the town. Beautiful views. At the end of the trail there's a nice tunnel that seems to be their water system (maybe for watering their front yards, who knows?) Great experience. Perfect for a side hustle trip."

"Yes, this National park has been recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site.
But together with other sites so it is not a Wow..
Indeed this site is interesting but not that interesting, not in the top 10 in Israel, maybe in the Top 50.
It is not big and 1 hour is enough to make the most of it.
Anyway, if you like (love?) History and Archeology, then this place is for you.
And since I am as such, and since I had always wanted to visit it and never could make time for it, this time I did it, and truly I do not regret it :)
As always, the landscape and the views are beautiful and by themselves worth the time, especially at sunset.

I've attached a few pictures, and you'll be your own judge."

"A small yet historical site having biblical ruins. Not much to explore and you can see it in an hour. I personally found the information given by the guide patchy. Have been to bigger sites dating back to 5-6 B.C. Not that great experience to share"
