A sea-themed playroom inside a museum? YES PLEASE! 🛳️✨ Ahoy! Gallery at the National Maritime Museum is one of London’s best indoor spots for toddlers — and it’s designed especially for little ones to explore, pretend-play, and discover life at sea. 🐳 🐠 ⛴️ Expect ship wheels, soft sensory corners, and role play with nautical gear — it’s hands-on, educational fun your child will love. 🌦️ It’s t...

Reviews Summary

Visitors generally find the National Maritime Museum to be a well-presented and informative institution, particularly praised for its engaging children's play areas. While some note it might not be a full-day attraction for all, its free general admission and excellent family facilities make it a popular choice.

"Pretty good. Obviously packed during the intermediate days of Passover.

Not a whole lot of interactive things to do. The models of historical Israeli ships were fascinating, but don't expect to spend many hours there with kids. 1-2 hours is enough time."

"This was a lovely museum to visit in Haifa. I went with friends and spent just over an hour here. It's not a huge museum, and the top floor with archaeology was the most interesting, but the exhibit on astrophotography was really incredible. It's free on Shabbat, but the museum was full of small children who were very loud. Definitely kid friendly, and they had lots of activities to dress up in costumes, draw pictures and more."

"Sure is NOT worth the 3hr "Roundtrip" from Airbnb to THIS "So Called...Museum"! As SOON as I walked in the door, I was directed over to a Woman at the "Kids Books Cashier's Desk" by a young man sitting by the door; on his phone. I walked over, proceeded to get her attention, politely. She was holding a phone receiver in her hand. I think she was on hold with someone. After She started Talking in "Hebrew" to me...I spoke to her BACK (IN HEBREW) That: "I speak a little Hebrew; but not Good" and asked if she spoke English. MY GOODNESS, Her Response, was as if I shifted her life! SHE Pointed TO ME; Then, Pointed back OVER to the young man that sent me to HER! Said a bunch of stuff and didn't realize that I could understand "Some" of what she was saying. I picked up the words (American; Does not speak Hebrew; I'm on the phone; Get 35 Shekels from her.... blah blah blah)
I walked thru this "Drabby" Windowless, All the same 70's Style Colored Carpet Museum in about 20 minutes! The Lighting is Extremely Poor and You Can Hardly See The Glass Encased Artifacts. There's NOTHING Inviting About this place. Yes, if you like Historical Maritime Archeological Objects; You MIGHT Like it.
