Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the impeccable architecture of Safra Square and the expansive, modern feel of the Jerusalem Municipality complex. The panoramic views from the observation point are frequently highlighted as breathtaking. While the historical buildings offer a glimpse into the past, some areas may have limited accessibility. The square itself is a vibrant hub for events.

"Worth exploring the architecture of the Municipality compound as well as its history over the last 100 years. Some buildings are accessible while other are not. Safra Square lends Jerusalem’s City Hall an expansive, modern cosmopolitan feel, owing to its impeccable architecture and sizable open plaza setting. The square is situated at the beginning of Jaffa Road, on the cusp of eastern and western Jerusalem, serving as a symbol of the city’s efforts to serve all its residents equally. A beautiful square with concrete cushions is highly recommended."

"Has the Israeli government made any move to address the false banner at the Maccabi Haifa vs. Raków Częstochowa match in Hungary? It was the Germans who murdered you from 1939, and those were German concentration camps, the Holocaust. What right do you have to call us murderers when over 7,000 Poles have been awarded the Righteous Among the Nations medal for risking their lives to protect Jewish families? The world will know the truth anyway!"

"Note: I'm not talking about municipality as organization but as a tourist sight.

Living more than 20 years in Jerusalem, last week it was my first time to go to a tour there.
This is a tour of the historical municipal buildings, among which is the old municipal building from the time of the British Mandate; the city council hall and the model of old/new Jerusalem and an observation point offering a breathtaking view of Jerusalem's neighborhoods. View is indeed something to die for, I was totally in awe. Unfortunately the model was closed for reconstruction that day. But hopefully you'll be more lucky.

Cost: 10 NIS per visitor; minimal cost is 150 NIS per group.
Groups by appointment in several languages.
Duration: 90 minutes

Tip: Jerusalem Municipality Hall has free Wi-Fi and very good, cheap coffee. ;)"
