What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
El Nido Ferry Terminal is a functional, albeit basic, transit point. While efficient for its purpose, travelers note its outdated facilities and the potential for delays. The surrounding area buzzes with activity for island hopping tours, which are the main draw. Be prepared for a straightforward, no-frills experience with some administrative hurdles like terminal fees.
"Just like any other ports in the Philippines....
Inefficient and late.
1) There are 2 lines operating going to Coron from El Nido. Montenegro (that leaves at 12NN), and Atienza (that leaves at 12:30PM) --- this schedule might change anytime...
2) When we bought tickets just 2 days in advance, only the Atienza was available and down to last 14 tickets.
3) Prices varies per tour operators! We found one that offers 3600(per head), and we got ours for 3000, and when we finally purchased, we managed to find as low as 2,800
4) Free seating!
5) you can bring a cup noodles and just pay 10php for hot water and a spork.
6) the 20php environmental fee queueing is definitely the most irritating part of the whole trip....
7) then there's another environmental fee of 200php when you arrive in Coron."

"We took the fast ferry to Coron at 6am. There is only one ferry each day to go there or to come back. We booked with Montenegro 3 days in advance. They say you need to be at the port 1 hour/45 minutes before departure as they need to check you in and then you need to go to another counter and pay a terminal fee (20 pesos) but we noticed that some people didn’t pay it and they still went through. Then they will check your bags with a dog and then you can go through. The trip took 4.5 hours and was quite jumpy and fast."

"There are hidden charges for cargoes before you can go outside the ferry terminal gate. The tricycle to bus / van terminal is just 100 pesos for the whole ride of tricycle."
