What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for Tel Aviv's street experiences are generally positive, highlighting the vibrant atmosphere, diverse neighborhoods like Jaffa and Florentin, and the rich history. Some visitors note that tour communication can be poor, and certain tours may include unwanted shopping stops. However, the overall sentiment points to a city that is engaging and full of discovery.
"Extremely poor communication from tourism Israel (for the Jordan- Petra tour). You have to be on top of the itinerary and make sure that everything run smoothly because all parties involved in the Jordan and Israeli side do not communicate at all. For example, I had purchased my Jordan visa ahead of time and informed tourism Israel, I also informed the person in the Israel side supporting the crossover, yet when I arrive to Jordan, I was requested to pay 60 USD, I assume that cost was related to something else, however it turned out that that was associated with the visa for Jordan, but that was never communicated to me, and the person in the Jordan side had no idea that I had purchased the visa, despite the fact that I informed moments before the Israel coordinator. All that to say, tourism Israel sucks at communicating and a fun experience becomes work. Therefore, I recommend going to Abraham tours as they have stronger communication and make it easier for the tourist to enjoy their time instead of making it feel like work to organize communication amongst all parties, plus, the tourism Israel employ just ignores customers."

"My wife and I really enjoyed our private tour of Jerusalem and the Dead Sea. Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience engaging. The drive to the Dead Sea was very pleasant, and we appreciated having plenty of time to soak in the water and relax.
One aspect I didn’t enjoy was being taken to specific shops that seemed geared more toward selling us things rather than enhancing the tour. I would have preferred to use that time to see another site in Jerusalem, such as the Temple Mount. The last shop in particular felt more like a hustle or scam, which took away from the otherwise great experience.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely do it again. Despite that one drawback, we very much enjoyed ourselves."

"I am giving two stars because our guide, Omer, was wonderful, but we felt our driver, Achmed, was unfriendly and unprofessional and put us in danger. The trip from start to finish was unsafe and got worse as the day went on.
First, our driver was 15 min late. When he arrived, in an unmarked black Mercedes van, he opened the door without getting out to greet the passengers and did not even utter a good morning, nevertheless ask if we were the Masada group. Anyone could have gotten on the van. There was no guide - only the driver. He drove very fast and erratic towards Jerusalem, where we met the driver and waited for other passengers. The driver continued to be erratic on the roads. At the last stop specifically, the driver smoked in the van (windows open) but when we came back to the van it smelled of cigarettes and there was ash on our seats. After the first group and guide was dropped in Jerusalem, the driver made an unexpected stop at the Elvis rest stop/gas station in the dark - with no explanation. This unexpected stop was concerning and uncalled for. I found him praying on the floor behind trash cans. When the driver returned to the bus, he asked ME if everyone was on the bus! Driver was also on personal calls throughout the day. I would never recommended this unprofessional tour company due to safety concerns. I’m manly giving two stars because our guide, Omer, was wonderful, but we felt our driver, Achmed, created an unsafe environment and was unfriendly and unprofessional and put us in danger. Company seems to have low standards and doesn’t train staff."
