Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Tomb of Rabbi Meir Baal Haness to be a deeply spiritual and holy site, offering a unique mystical atmosphere. Many appreciate the convenience of facilities like restrooms and water, as well as the stunning sunset views over the Sea of Galilee. However, some feel the abundance of shops detracts from the sacred ambiance.

"A different side of Israel but still must be seen and visited.
I had just visited the Hamat Tiberias National Park and since this Tomb is just a few minutes walk from there, I decided to go and visit it as well.
I had already been there in 1970 so it was kind of a must for me.

It is of course a lot like the Tomb of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai at Meron which I had visited the day before, just smaller.
And like there, combined with this special atmosphere of mysticism, there were too many shops and sellers of everything and anything (which weren't there in 1970).
It definitely spoiled the atmosphere.
Pity."

"Very holy and spiritual! Nice very comfortable there is drinks there a few gift shops amazing stuff... candle's to buy for a few shekel the place is really really beautiful!"

"A large area and lots of places to pray at this holy side.

It's recommended to arrive on a weekday and as early as possible to avoid crowdedness. It's free year-round.
Note that on the hillula it's very packed.

Clean toilets ,places to fill up cold water and hot water.
An organized car parking area and just a few minutes from the kineret sea. On one side there is a few shops you can buy goods from.

The sunset is stunning with the palm tree and sea view. The building itself is built beautifully with a grand mosaic on one of its sides if you walk up to the roof."
