"This baroque church is located at the back of the main square. Wasn't open on a Friday lunchtime in early May.
The facade is nice. It has a bell tower on one side only.

"Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Acireale.
The basilica is located in Piazza del Duomo, next to the Acireale Cathedral. Its Sicilian Baroque façade was designed by the painter Pietro Paolo Vasta in 1741. Reconstruction work following the 1693 earthquake lasted until 1812 and included the reorganization of the church's interior in a Neoclassical style."

"To the side of the Cathedral, further back, is the 17th-century Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul. Its two-tiered façade is flanked by an 18th-century bell tower with a spire and pinnacles. The interior has a single nave, flanked by a row of Corinthian semi-columns."
