Visitors consistently praise the Allumiere Civic Museum and the nearby Faggeto di Allumiere for their rich historical and natural offerings. The museum is lauded for its well-organized exhibits, particularly its archaeological and naturalistic sections, and is highly recommended for families due to its interactive elements. The beech forest provides a beautiful outdoor experience, complete with historical remnants.
"On August 26th, we visited the Alumieri beech forest in the ancient forest with the staff of this museum and the Parks of Lazio. It was simply superb. We walked through the extraction sites for an alum mineral. They also told us about all the trees that grow in this forest and the birds and animals. My daughter learned so much about the nature of such a beautiful region as Lazio. We arrived from Rome by train, then by Cotral bus. We got up with the baby at 5:00 a.m., but we didn't regret it for a minute. After the visit, the museum staff kindly took us to an Italian restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious lunch. Thank you so much!"

"Housed within the monumental Palazzo della Camera Apostolica, the ground floor displays artifacts discovered throughout the Alluniere area between prehistoric times and the beginning of Romanization.
Some fragments from the late Middle Ages are also on display.
On the first floor, visitors can admire an exhibition of mineralogy, botany, and zoology. One room is dedicated to the processing of alum. The 17th-century altar-cabinet is noteworthy for its originality."
