Reviews Summary

Visitors are consistently impressed by Saepinum's authenticity and the quality of its audio guide, calling it an incredible and special Roman ruin. The site's preservation and the recent improvements are highly praised, offering a genuine glimpse into ancient life. Some visitors wished for a personal guide, but the app-based audio guide is considered top-notch.

"This place is incredible!! We are so impressed and so happy we came for a visit. There is an audioguide via an app through your phone but I so would have loved a personal guide. Either way, it's well mapped and I feel very informed about what I was seeing. Highly recommend!"

"I’ve seen many Roman ruins in Italy. This one is special—as it captures a fairly complete authentic representation of life 2,000 years ago. Its history of renovation although complex has been quite minimal over the last few hundred years. After major efforts after WWII, things sat dormant for decades. Recently, with a major investment from the Ministry of Culture, things are hopping. I’ve taken guests here for three decades. The recent improvements and upgraded operations are impressive. There’s about 40 staff on site working very hard, including professional archeologists and forest management experts. Ask for lead staff Lorenzo and Isabella among others. There’s a snack shop just beyond the Roman south gate ."

"It's an amazing place. Not over restored. The audio guide with interactive map that comes with your ticket is second to none."
