Visitors praise the Museo Paleontologico Territoriale for its fascinating collection of local fossils, especially the 'Leviathan and the Sirens' exhibition featuring a remarkable whale skeleton. The museum is considered engaging for families and history buffs alike, with helpful staff and informative displays. Some older exhibits are primarily in Italian, but multilingual booklets are available.

"A very nice place to visit solo or with the family.. For the paleontology and history lovers, there is a lot to see and study.. But still if the history of the evolution amazes you a little bit, you should plan a visit.. It takes an hour or two to go through the collection.. The whale skeleton is a prime attraction over there.. During my visit, there wasn't a crowd at all and thus I could see everything in detail.."

Mandar Pandit

"Very interesting display of fossils recovered from the Asti region. The new exhibition, Leviathan and the Sirens, is one of Europe's most important collections of cetacean fossils, with unique finds. This exhibition has English explanations. The old exhibition in the basement is in Italian only, but fascinating even if you do not understand everything. Very helpful staff in the ticket office."

Jens Østergaard Petersen

"The exposition tells a complete and well told story about the formation of the local landschaps. They have nice fossils to explain the story and you really get to see what kind of animals lived in the ocean in those time periods. The aquarium also give a nice insight on how the seabed looked like in those times. The office has a booklet in a lot of languages so everyone can understand what is being told at every point in the exposition."
