What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Baglio di Scopello for its stunning location in the heart of Scopello, its incredibly friendly and helpful staff, and its relaxing pool area. The breakfast is often highlighted as a treat. However, some guests find the hotel's decor dated and mention that the beds and pillows could be more comfortable, with breakfast being average for some.
"We booked this hotel so my husband could do a walk in the National Park along the beaches but sadly, the park was closed due a fire a few weeks before we arrived.
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely friendly hotel. The area is stunning. We had a sea view from our small balcony ( there are larger ones) and the pool area was relaxing. Breakfast was a treat with so much choice of fresh fruits, pastries and meats. Lots for vegetarians as well. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make your stay a pleasant one. Lovely clean hotel, close to the medieval centre, so walkable for evening meals. Taxis not based in the town and the nearest beach is about a 20 minute walk for those who are fit. A taxi would have set us back around 60/70 euros as they have to come from a nearby town. I managed to walk down one day with my dodgy knee. On the way back up I was lucky to have been offered not one, but two lifts for free. 😊. Thank you to those younger folk who helped out an old lady! Defiantly recommend this hotel in September....so peaceful."

"Such a charming hotel in the most beautiful spot. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Scopello, close to everything. The staff is truly amazing—so kind, helpful, and welcoming. You can tell they really care.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the whole place has a relaxed, authentic feel. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Can’t wait to come back one day!"

"Great location in Scopello, right in the heart of the small town; we loved being able to walk everywhere so easily. Our only criticism is that the hotel is quite dated, probably needs a some updating. The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were barely pillows, no support. The bed was like a foam/plastic so not very pleasant to sleep on. The breakfast was pretty average, we opted to find our own breakfast elsewhere and the provided breakfast was quite underwhelming. Overall, the location and the friendly staff were a plus for us but the hotel just needs some updates."
