What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking turquoise waters and dramatic cliffs of Baia del Buon Dormire, often comparing it to a Caribbean paradise. The bay's name, 'Good Sleep Bay,' reflects its typically calm seas, though it can get crowded in peak summer. Many appreciate the option to rent boats for exploring nearby caves and the fair pricing for beach amenities.
"We anchored here by sailboat for the night and it was in fact a very gentle sea in this bay, hence the name. Beautiful cliffs and slices of sandy beaches with caves creeping in below. A few campeggi with restaurants to visit if you like and a clean blue, glowing sea."
Cassie Jones (Epicurean Culinary)
"A well-equipped beach with a heavenly sea. Boats depart from here to reach the caves dotted along the cliffs of Capo Palinuro. The cost of the trip also included an umbrella and two lounge chairs. The only downside was the paid shower. I also enjoyed the walk from the parking lot above to the beach. Really beautiful place 🥰"
Roberto
"The bay is beautiful and easily reached by canoe from the nearby Marinella beach, where you can rent one for about €10 an hour.
There are no services on site, so it's best to bring water and food.
I visited in July and it was crowded, so sleeping is no longer an option. I can't imagine what it would be like in August.
A visit in June or September is definitely an ideal choice."
