What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Etruscan Pyramid as a fascinating and mysterious hidden gem, offering a unique hiking experience through beautiful, ancient woodlands. While the journey can be challenging due to navigation and trail conditions, the reward is a sense of discovery and connection to an enigmatic past. Some express disappointment with visitors climbing on the pyramid, emphasizing the need for preservation.
"Nice hidden gem in the forest, a short hike with slippery parts so be sure not to go while ground is wet. Once you reach the tombstone of musetto, follow the red marks on the trees / rocks and it should take about 10 mins (follow the path after the tombstone and turn right when it splits). DO NOT TRY TO REACH BY FOLLOWING GOOGLE MAP DIRECTIONS as you will end up lost in the woods and on the cliff edge avove of the pyramid!"

"It is a fantastic trail in the nature to find Etruscan ruins in a fantastic landscape. You must be fit and well equipped to deal with some of the trailers you have to follow to get to the ruins. Nature is fantastic and the ruins are very interesting. You may feel you are in a magic place or you are in a tomb raider film"

"It’s a beautiful spot, full of mystery. Quite hard to find (Apple maps for example show pyramid completely wrong -few kilometers far from the correct spot - we found it using application for hikers - Komoot). If you go from up (Via Cupa), it’s not far. You have to find a way that goes down from the clifs (around a grave of a dog). The only thing that was really sad for us was that people normally go up on the pyramid (also not knowing anything about the structure they climb). It’s a cultural heritage, ancient (probably older than roman sightseings), well preserved and people should observe it from OUT, not climbing it and very usually even eating their lunch on the top. Please, don’t do it."
