While the lighthouse interior is often closed, the vistas and the unique monument itself are highlights. Some find the walk from the funicular to be quite strenuous.
"Note: this viewpoint is very much open, just the lighthouse itself is temporarily closed!
Definitely worth going up, I would highly recommend it...but it's not an easy hike by any stretch of the imagination. I'm fairly fit and was covered in sweat by the top. Some very steep sections, saw many people give up halfway up. Definitely take some tissue/towel if you're coming on a hot day to wipe off the sweat!
Pictures include some views seen along the way :)"

"A steep, 30-minute walk from the top of the funicular takes you to the lighthouse. The lighthouse has some fantastic views around the base. I don't believe the public can climb the actual lighthouse. It was certainly closed when i visited. There are a few deibking water fountains and a children's playground on the way up to the lighthouse. On hot days, I would highly recommend taking water. Could be a difficult walk in strong rain. Well worth the walk."
