"The outside doesn’t look like much but the inside is breathtaking. It is big, highly decorated and the crypt is nice. The marble statues and pillars are incredibly beautiful. You can enter for free and give a small price for the crypt."

"Beautiful baroque church. Please be mindful of your attire when you enter. There is a crypt under the altar that you can visit- entrance is on the left side and exit on the right. There is a shop by the left side that sells some rosaries and other stuff, very affordable and highly recommend. We parked infront of the church, just after the steps, only park if you are a small car (smart, fiat panda, hyundai i10). Otherwise, there are designated parking area or you risk blocking the road."

"The Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta e Santa Cecilia is truly a hidden gem and an architectural marvel that left me absolutely amazed. From the moment you step inside, you are transported into a world of spiritual tranquility and artistic beauty. The cathedral’s exterior, with its classic Romanesque style, immediately captures your attention, but it’s the interior that truly takes your breath away.

The play of light through the stained glass windows creates a serene and almost mystical atmosphere. Every corner is rich with detail—elaborate frescoes, intricate carvings, and a sense of sacred history that seems to whisper through the stone walls. The combination of devotion and artistry is overwhelming in the best possible way. You can sense the centuries of faith and community that have built and sustained this sacred place.

The altar, dedicated to both the Virgin Mary and Saint Cecilia, is particularly moving. Saint Cecilia, the patron saint of music, adds a poetic touch to the ambiance—you almost expect to hear distant organ music resonating through the air.

Whether you’re religious or not, this cathedral offers a powerful experience. It’s not just a place of worship, but a testament to human creativity and devotion. I highly recommend a visit—it’s nothing short of extraordinary."
