Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Valle Camonica Rock Carvings to be an absolutely stunning and informative experience, highlighting the breathtaking rock art and the helpfulness of the park staff. The sense of discovery is a significant draw, with well-indicated trails and unique features like Rock 1. However, some find the ticket purchasing process and the subtlety of the carvings challenging.
"Absolutely lovely. It may be a steep climb: take the side street with your car and there is a place where you cannot turn right: that’s the road the employees use to get up there and therefore a much easier walk up a car road (we cannot do stairs!) and it will just be a nice walk uphill to the park entrance. The park is lovely. The rocks are so surprising! The type of engravings really take a full minute to see… it’s not “chiseled” it’s just etched and give it a couple centuries the lines are very light… but once you see them they pop-at you !
They will give you a map of the “percorso” with a suggested route around the larger boulders, and the most important ones have planks surrounding them to provide better viewing. There’s also park personnel around who are SUPER friendly and will walk to show you where the most important markings are! Without their help, some of the images would have just slipped my eyes: ask for their help!"

"Very nice — I recommend it. However, they should offer guided tours with a real person, not just virtual guides, to explain things in more detail and show exactly where the drawings are.
After the experience, buying tickets was not great. I’d recommend that they have a normal cashier where you can pay with cash, not just by card.
That said, this is not a complaint, as I understand that technology and automated systems are becoming the norm."
