"The second weekend of the month, except August, the Pavia Market hosts the Antiques and Secondhand Market. Some exhibitors also set up shop outside the entrance with stalls or simple tarpaulins to display their wares. You might find everything or nothing there. It depends. Once upon a time, many artisans used this vast area to sell their wares, from straw-seated chairs to rustic-style furniture. Now, by rummaging through the boxes scattered everywhere, you can find excellent books or DVDs for those who enjoy reading without spending too much. Collectors also enjoy exploring the more covered section of the Pavia Market, where they can choose between well-kept furniture or precious, unique artifacts. If you find the right item, you can find a bargain. Then there are those who display their collections of objects such as watches or tin soldiers, advertising plates for products now long gone, signs, and the ever-present vinyl records that always attract attention—there's no shortage of surprises like eggs or snacks, and dolls of various sizes and values. Perhaps, for some connoisseurs, there's even a rare or hard-to-find item. Commemorative medals, rugs, and even old electronics, as well as an endless array of rusty iron tools from times long gone.
The market also features a permanent Red Cross station, just in case, and a refreshment stand where you can grab a quick bite or warm up with a good coffee.
Parking in Piazza Castello is free and accommodates the many visitors and shoppers."
