"Visited on the occasion of an exhibition on illustration dedicated to Degas, the House Museum of Giorgione (1478-1510) is in Castelfranco Veneto. Structured on three floors: two used as a permanent exhibition, the third reserved for events. The two floors of the permanent exhibition are very interesting: they narrate the events of Treviso and its province in the relationship with the Serenissima and in its fifteenth and sixteenth century history very rich in culture, art and history. Beatrice d'Este and Caterina Cornaro among the protagonists. There is also a copy of the famous Pala, the original of which is located inside the adjacent Cathedral. The entire neighborhood involved is beautiful. Easy parking in Piazza Roma or behind the apse which is accessed by a short and beautiful pedestrian ramp. The female staff at reception is very kind and knowledgeable. Thank you."

"We were quite disappointed; we got in with a discount because we'd visited another museum on the circuit, so we paid 7 euros instead of 10. There's only a frieze by Giorgione, as the painter's altarpiece is inside the nearby church, which was closed at the time, so we didn't see it... The exhibition is nice, but it's about Dumas, and the admission price is too high for what it offers."
