"This was a bonus stop without planning it and it was well worth it. I felt like a got a smaller version of St. Peter’s for free. It’s really well up kept and has a ton of postage as well as a mass hall where they still hold service. The front doors are pretty astounding for the scales and amount of detail. This is a short train ride from Naples for $7-10 round trip, make sure to add to your list."

"Great place. The paintings are awesome. Worthy to visit. Try to do it at early hours, you will find the place calm, silent and very quiet."

"You aren't really meant to go here. When we went to Castellammare it was an amazing experience, probably the poorest place we have seen in Western Europe. But the people were friendly and the cathedral is astonishing, an almost completely unspoiled early Renaissance masterpiece. An absolute gem of a place."
