What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Castello di Meleto for its authentic Tuscan charm, exceptional Chianti Classico wines, and the passionate guidance of hosts like 'Lele'. The historic theatre and beautiful grounds are significant highlights. Some minor critiques mention occasional awkwardness during tastings or less-than-warm reception staff, but the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive and highly recommended for its real feel.
"We did a wine tasting and tour here. The portion opened to the public was interesting and great to see. My favorite part was a theatre one of the owners had built back in the day. It has not been renovated or touched. It was impressive, so old and just a sense of the time come to life. The outside gardens were beautiful and the entire grounds so well kept.
The wine tasting was very good. It was a bit awkward as some people had chosen the option to add a plate of delicious cheeses and meats. But not everyone had and there was no comment about that. So we sat there waiting for them to bring others the dish until we realized they must not have included the food. There was no ending to our tasting by the young female who conducted it. We all just guessed it was over. There was no pressure to buy bottles. We left and walked around the beautiful vineyard.
I am really glad I chose this as our one tasting in Tuscany. It felt real and not commercialized. We did go in mid October when it was a bit of season."

"Very nice magical castle. The wines and wine staff were amazing, our cooking teacher Patrizia was amazing. The only little negative part was the receptionists were a bit rude. Other than that the place was amazing and i recommend strongly."

He explained everything with such passion and professionalism while keeping it warm, friendly, and engaging. The wines were exceptional, and Lele’s insights made each glass even more enjoyable. A highlight of our trip – highly recommended!"
