What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise the spectacular views and the historical significance of the Complesso Monumentale del San Giovanni, especially during sunset. However, some reviews mention disappointment due to areas being closed or the site not being as well-maintained as expected, though general access is often free.
"We didn’t visit the inside but the backyard provide spectacular view over the roundabout as well as the town. Great for a short walk any time of the day."
Minh Long
"Great view to the arch bridge"
Alexandra Dolia
"I would have saved myself this trip if I'd anticipated the extent of the disappointment.
Arriving at the top of the plaza, everything is locked. The castle tower is cordoned off, and all around the castle wall (if you can call it that) is a glass "fence" wrapped in metal frames.
The lower tower is littered.
It's a shame that such a historical monument isn't maintained.
The view is fantastic!"
