The dedication to preserving the miners' legacy is frequently praised, though some note that tours can feel limited and the jeep seating might be uncomfortable for some.
"This place is amazing. The fact they have been mining here since before the Roman Era is min blowing. The whole process of mining, old and new, is just amazing. A real must see."

"With the taxi from carrara-avenza station to here, 50Euro one-way (may vary). There are 2 different kind of tours ; one tour inside the cave, the other one go onto the mountain. You have to book and pay separately. You can book on site as well when it's not peak time."

"Very nice tour through the marble cave! The little busride into the cave is quite cool. There is plenty to see and learn. Our tourguide was really funny and did know quite much. Even for the children - which do not speak English or Italian - it was great fun!
Sidenote is to keep eye on the tourguide at the end of the tour. We still needed to pay our visit at the end. As I was doing just that the buss and tourguide where already gone and we were a little puzzled how to get out. 😉"
