"Excellence. This hotel and the stay here was my best hotel experience ever. The general vibe and feeling of the hotel is superior. The room was big and welcoming. The view from the room was not the best - but nevertheless it was clean, true to its style and had an exquisite bathroom and bed.
The dinner at the Grill restaurant was amazing and the wine list inspired a truly unforgettable night.
The piano bar with joyful music and a mingle between all the guests was simply amazing - and added to that «old money»-vibe in a beautiful manner.
The surroundings are also astonishing and provides the very best atmosphere and enjoyment you can find.
All of these amenities and beautiful surrounding would, however, not be as meaningful if it weren’t for the excellent staff and their attention to detail and ability to adapt to the guests. I find the ability to adapt to the guests as the most important thing and at that this was world class.
We were a group of four friends which had an incredible and extremely successful experience with Villa d’Este.

From the moment we arrived at this breathtaking Lake Como hotel, we knew we were somewhere extraordinary. The hotel’s setting is nothing short of cinematic—nestled between lush green hills and the shimmering waters of the lake, every view feels like a postcard brought to life.
The staff welcomed us as if we were lifelong friends, offering warm smiles while our luggage magically disappeared to our suite. The attention to detail was impeccable—fresh flowers in the room with personalized welcome notes.
Our suite was a masterpiece of design: soaring windows framing a magic garden, a marble bathroom with a deep soaking tub that felt like a spa on its own. The bed was the kind of cloud you never want to leave.
Breakfast by the Lake featured just-baked pastries and cappuccinos so perfect they could ruin all others for you.
The floating pool overlooking the lake was pure serenity. Even small touches, like the live piano music created an atmosphere of timeless elegance."

The grounds are immaculate. Worthy of every photo on social media platforms. Photos alone do not represent the true beauty of the hotel. Our suite was a Junior Suite Lake View. Spacious and well appointed in the Cardinal’s Building. We had a corner suite overlooking both Lake Como and the hotel’s grounds. The hotel refers to them as residences, we never felt more at home.
