"This is one of those places I struggled with giving a review. Just because I kind of wanted to keep it to myself. I kind of feel like we found a real gem here. This whole town is fantastic (with apologies to the poor man operating the cable car, who took exception to my size and amount of baggage XD ). I digress. The Palazzo is a stunning place to stay. If you have the fortitude to get up the ladder with some wine, the roof is the best place to enjoy it. Absolutely amazing views and very reasonably priced. The gelateria downstairs was frequented by my daughter on a daily basis and they even taught her a few words of Italian."

The Fiametta apartment was spacious, spotless, and had a complete kitchen with stove, microwave and washing machine, and a wonderful double shower, which made it so easy to enjoy the area, but also relax at home. Certaldo is a lovely town with great views and great restaurants, and this apartment is perfectly located for all the fun, while still being remarkably quiet. Parking was so easy and nice to have the car right there, too. An all-around charming experience in the best possible combination of modern convenience and historic environment. I've stayed in several flats in Certaldo and this was the best!"
