What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests generally find Val de Mesdì to be a pleasant hotel with stunning mountain views and good value half-board dining. While the food and facilities are often praised, some visitors note inconsistencies in staff attentiveness and occasional issues with breakfast temperature. The pet-friendly nature and comfortable rooms are definite highlights, though limited dog relief areas and early spa closing times are minor drawbacks.
"I would say this is a good hotel, but not great. Especially for the price, I was expecting just a little more attentiveness.
They have some parking spaces out front that are free, otherwise for private parking there is a charge. We were happy that we were able to get a free spot.
Entering the hotel, the receptionist wasn’t there and we had to wait for someone to come to the desk for them to just give us a piece of paper with all the info without explaining anything or asking us about our stay to make it more personal.
The hotel and room are very clean, but our shower room had a very strong smell of bleach which took a day to clear up. They offer bath robes and flip flops which is handy for the pool. From the balcony, you get and excellent view of the dolomites. If you are a light sleeper, keep the door closed as the hotel is on a busy road. The hotel is very warm so it’s best to keep the door open to feel more comfortable.
It was a nice gesture to find dog bowls and some treats in the room for our dogs. We paid €25 per dog per night. It was a little inconvenient is that there isn’t an area for them to do their business, and when we asked the front desk if there is a suitable place, she only told us where not to go.
The breakfast and dinner are pretty good here, not wow good but pretty good. The waiter is too quirky and the jokes are too much for my taste. He seemed a little annoyed when we said we won’t be there for dinner the next night as we were heading somewhere else. Instead of wishing us a good time, he just walked away without saying a word.
Something to note is that reception is not 24/7. You won’t see anyone downstairs after 11pm. The pool and gym facilities close at 19:00pm which seems to be too early?
Overall it was a pleasant stay, but I was expecting the staff to be a bit more attentive and give their guests a bit more time given the price point."

"Stayed here last minute on our Dolomites trip and couldn't recommend it more. Spent a fabulous time unwinding in the wellness area and great value half board option with 4 courses with great food. They also catered it to gluten free which was fantastic, similar at breakfast. We forgot some clothes in our room and passed back and they had it waiting for us. Lovely staff too :)"

"We had an amazing stay at Mezdi Hotel! The food was absolutely outstanding—every meal was a delight. The service was equally impressive, with Paulo and Alexandra going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their warmth and professionalism truly stood out and made our experience extra special.
The only area for improvement is the sauna, which could use some updates to match the high standard of everything else the hotel offers.
Overall, Mezdi Hotel exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic stay in the Dolomites!"
