Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the unforgettable panoramic views from these public gardens, calling them the 'best place of Cortona' for relaxation and enjoyment. The park is praised for its peaceful atmosphere, nice shade, and amenities like a playground and bathrooms, making it a beloved spot for locals and tourists alike to jog, walk pets, and soak up the sun. Some mention the potential for community events, adding to its vibrant appeal.

"The public gardens of Cortona are an unforgettable perch overlooking Camucia and the Val di Chiana. The park seems carved out of the mountainside. Adorned with water feature, shaded benches, a boulevard wide gravel promenade flanked by mature trees, a playground, a tennis center, and in a higher elevation still, a small football field and the municipal swimming pool. You will find the Cortonese and the city's many visitors getting in their morning jog, walking their furry companions, meeting and greeting neighbors or taking their children out for a playdate. We were lucky to experience one of the community events (music and food truck festival) that was very well attended by locals. It's clear they love this park! This may be out of bounds for this maps review: Walk to the southern end exit of the park and follow the road a kilometer or two and you'll come across Frances and Ed Mayes stunning Villa Bramasole."

Ray Bianco
