What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find Castello di Carlo V to be an affordable historical site with impressive exterior architecture and great views. However, many are disappointed by limited interior access due to ongoing renovations or closures, and accessibility can be a challenge for those with strollers or mobility issues.
"We don't recommend the visit. Even though the entrance price is 2€ it's not worth it because most of the places inside of the castle and indicated in the leaflet, pannel and signs are not open for visit (none of the bastions, no toilet and the museum isbclosed and needs an extra ticket) and the rest is in a bad condition. Also not recommended to visit with a wheelchair or stroller. The evelator for disabled is closed."

"Just the top of the castle, no interior. Steep, uneven, and few hand rails. Views are nice, but they are everywhere."
Brittany Flokstra
"Beautiful building, but so sad to see it in such a bad state. The place, like so much of Crotone, needs love and civic pride. The place could be so beautiful, and such a great visitor attraction. It could be home to artists and other creative, and a real draw to the town. Some nice views, but needs love."
