Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Egnazia Archaeological Park for its well-maintained ruins and exceptionally informative museum, highlighting the clear explanations of historical periods and the fascinating basement exhibition. The seaside location adds to its charm. However, some find public transport challenging, and a few have been disappointed by the lack of an 'egg theme park' or by information being solely in Italian.

"Truly amazing place. The archaeological area is not very large but well maintained and with a lot of information provided (I did not use the audio guide). Veru clear explining of the three main time periods of the city. Everything marked and explained, including a small necropolis near the museum.

And now about the museum. One of the best archaeological museums visited. A lot of artefacts, pottery, statues, huge panels with information. The museum is very well structured on eras, with each room dedicated to certain period. The cherry on the top is the basement exhibition about the the special relationship between Egnazia and the sea. Worth visiting if you are interested in Roman history.

The only minus is the public transport from Bari - Fasano - archaeological area. It's more easy if you have a car."

"Cool vibes right on the sea. Make sure you bring cash/ euros 💶, because they don't take cards. Nice beats, cocktails, beers and a few 'snacky' foods. Parking €5, Sun lounger €10, Parasol €10. Probably worth looking at the tides, because at high tide it's pretty rocky with just a few sandy places to enter the water."

Christopher Lomas

"Excellent museum and the lower floor has an interactive display"
