"Church located at the intersection of Piazza Saffi and Corso della Repubblica, whose first stone was laid in 1723 thanks to bequests from Canon Cristoforo Aspini and his niece Barbara, a family whose coat of arms is represented in the marble floor in the area below the majestic dome. The works ended in 1748, with the exception of the facade which was completed in 1933. The church is embellished with frescoes and works of art. The elliptical plan recalls the Church of S. Maria al Quirinale in Rome. The Sunday and holiday liturgy is usually accompanied by the sound of the "Callido" organ, so called from the name of the famous Venetian organ builder of the late eighteenth century who worked for a long time in Emilia Romagna. The place for elegance and solemnity almost plastically represents a concept often recalled by the Rector of Suffragio - Don Paolo Giuliani - that is, the liturgy as a game, citing the writings of the theologian Romano Guardini who in some way assimilates the liturgy to art, united by the fact that both do not have an end, but a meaning.
