What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors are impressed by the Ponte sul Sangone Moncalieri's striking resemblance to the Brooklyn Bridge and its dramatic emergence from the forest. The intricate metal rope design is a particular highlight, making it a visually captivating, albeit brief, stop for travelers. Some note that the river beneath is not always prominent due to the bridge's scale.
"Visible from a great distance, it is also known as the "Brooklyn Bridge" due to its aesthetic, which is inspired by the
famous New York Bridge.
It was built from scratch and inaugurated in 2005 after the 2000 flood that destroyed the previous one. It crosses the Sangone River and is located on Provincial Road 193 "della Colletta," which connects Giaveno and Cumiana."

"THANKS for this bridge goes EVERYTHING to the LOCAL AUTHORITIES who opted for such a courageous choice for such an inconspicuous place!! But the effect is beautiful especially coming from the mountain as the large pillar gradually appears from behind the dense forest! It is impossible to see the river and frankly I am absolutely unable to remember whether there is a river or a road under that bridge!!! The eyes are inexorably attracted upwards, by the mighty pillar to which those gigantic parallel metal ropes are attached, in a miraculous way, which seem to come to life at every step in infinite combinations of designs, one more beautiful than the other!
Surprise worthy of the name if you pass by Giaveno come and see the large BRIDGE it's worth it!!"
