"If you're visiting Trieste, do not miss Grota Gigante. There is public transportation directly to the place, so you don't need to be worry about parking place. Cave is huge, and 500 staires down + 500 staires up are something you should think in advance. There is no elevator or any variant b to exit, so be sure you can do it. "Wonderful and mindblowing experience! The cave is huge with an abundance of decorations and astonishing views. As the perspective is changing while waking through, the awwww! gets more and more frequent. No camera could ever capture the its magnificence so it's important to see with your own eyes.
Perfect place to stop the time and appreciate the greatness of nature and how small is one human.
Note: it's walk with 500 steps downward and 500 steps upward. It's good to reserve a spot in a tour starting each full hour and lasting around 1 hour."

"Absolutely beautiful cavern. Our guide was wonderful she gave us plenty of time to take photos and ask questions. We bought our tickets online and was given a time to tour. We took the bus from the center of Trieste bus 6, very easy. They have bathrooms and a vending machine. The stalagmites growing up and the stalagtites from above are amazing. There are several stairs to go up and down. This place is stunning but definitely not accessible to anyone with mobility issues. This is definitely an attraction not to be missed while in Trieste."
