Se sei in vacanza in Sardegna non perderti una visita alle bellissime grotte Su Marmuri nei pressi di Ulassai, considerate le più importanti d’Europa. Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Grotte Su Marmuri as a spectacular and impressive natural wonder, often described as one of Europe's most significant caves. The sheer scale of the caverns, the intricate stalactite and stalagmite formations, and the cool, refreshing atmosphere are frequently highlighted as major draws. The friendly and informative guides also receive positive mentions, enhancing the overall experience. Some visitors note the physical aspect of the tour, involving numerous steps, and the need for appropriate clothing and footwear.

"Great cave that definitely worth for the visit. We were on tour started today 22.8. at 18:30. At that time many places to park. We bought the tickets onsite (adult 12€ and child 7€) and paid by card. At least huddie/sweater is more than recommended and of course good shoes because in some parts it is very slippery. In our group was 10 people + guide. The tour lasted almost 1,5 hour because she (guide) spoke first italian and then due to us english, otherwise the tour would last shorter. The way out of the cave is the same as the way into the cave.
I must praise the guide (sorry, I forgot her name) - she was very kind and nice. The way back we were talking not only about the cave itself but also about the Sardinia, life and interesting things in this country. At the end, when we were leaving the cave, she showed us one of the cave inhabitants - some kind of salamander which is all black so the photo it is not very good. Nevermind, thank you once again for great experience"

"Amazing place to visit. Great value for money. You need to be relatively fit as there are 800 steps in total. Some of the caverns are 50 metres high and the temperature is around a constant 10C. Closed in the winter months as it's inhabited by a large bat colony. Check tour times before arriving as you can only visit on a guided tour. Languages are Italian and English"

Ali Ball

"One of the most impressive caves in Europe. Massive underground halls with incredible stalactites and stalagmites, some over 20 meters tall. Formed over 10 million years ago by underground rivers carving through ancient limestone. The tour takes a little bit more than one hour. The guide was friendly and told a lot of interesting things about the cave. You really get a sense of the cave’s age and geological history. The cool temperature (~10°C) was refreshing, especially for kids, so long sleeve jackets will be helpful. Recommend to check a time when excursions start to avoid a long waiting time. A must-see for nature lovers"
