What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the picturesque beauty of Lago di Nemi and its charming village, particularly praising the delicious wild strawberries and pastries. The historical significance of the Roman ships adds a unique dimension. However, some find the road around the lake challenging to navigate, and a few mention that the area could be better maintained.
"Visited during December. The lake itself is beautiful but driving around it leaves a lot to be desired. The road is very narrow and in disrepair, it takes you (mostly) around the lake but the water is not always visible because of fences with overgrown weeds. The road does have occassional pull outs for oncoming traffic but at one point it became extremely narrow, muddy and almost looked like it had been washed out (pictures attached). There may be another way around the lake with an actual parking, beach, picnic area but we were not able to locate it."
