Reviews Summary

Lake Pergusa is praised as a beautiful Sicilian hinterland gem, appreciated for its natural setting and the excellent paved circuit ideal for sports and recreation. However, some visitors note a sense of neglect and disappointment with the limited development and the prominent racetrack bordering the lake, suggesting it could be better maintained and preserved.

"One of the most beautiful places in the Sicilian hinterland
Nature, myth, and legend make this place truly beautiful. Its proximity to the wonderful Proserpina Park makes it truly unique."

maurizio campisi

"People who give this place five stars, what would you give to the Valley of the Temples, Stromboli, or the ancient theater and Ortigia in Syracuse?! Seriously, the lake is surrounded by fencing protecting a racetrack that runs the entire length of it. When there aren't any races, the site is opened through a small gate, and you can walk or cycle on the paved path. Yes, there are access points to the lake. Nothing is developed, nothing is maintained, it's ugly. When you consider that this is the only natural lake in Sicily, it's truly appalling to see such neglect."

Alain Bachellier

"The circuit is very beautiful and you can easily use it for sports on foot, by bike, on skates, etc. For those who live near Enna and want to do physical activity outdoors without the fear of cars or anything else, I highly recommend going there."
