It's highlighted as a central gathering place that hosts various events and offers a pleasant spot to relax, especially for families with children due to the safe, open square. While not a singular attraction, its historical significance and integration into local life are highly appreciated.

"A beautiful building in the center of Levanto

I'm in the square in front of this building on the feast of Saint James, July 25th. The brick building features a colonnade supporting rounded arches. The entire area is a gathering place for numerous activities given its proximity to the sea and the town center. Numerous events and demonstrations take place here. Trees along the outside provide shade on hot, sunny days. Many people sit on the steps to rest and enjoy the cool air."

Marco Rubertelli

"The Loggia is another testament to Levanto's past. Easily accessible via a stroll through the medieval village, it is still well-preserved in a square at the foot of the Castle.
It is raised about one meter above the Piazza del Popolo opposite, a historic area of the medieval village of Levanto that was once known as Piazza della Loggia. It is a single-story building with a rectangular trapezoidal cross-section."

Diamante Pazzo

"The medieval Loggia is located in Piazza del Popolo in Levanto, in the province of La Spezia. Already known in the 13th century, it was renovated in the 16th century. In 2007, UNESCO awarded the Loggia the title of "monument bearing witness to culture and peace.""
