"Very worthwhile and fascinating tour with Natale.
We hiked there from the port, going counterclockwise on the island following the path on AllTrails - took a little more than one hour. Depending on your timing, you may have to wait for the guide to arrive as he comes by boat, Which arrives a little further down the hill from the .
After the tour, we continued the trail, going back along the coast and stopping to swim at the cove about 20 minutes before reaching Levanzo port. There is also a refreshment stand at the cove if you want drinks or a sandwich."

"I emailed to ask if I could visit the Grota by boat/jeep but make sure you book your hydrofoil in advance before emailing the staff. When I arrived at Levanzo they we really waiting for me!
Their office is only 2 min away from the Porto.
The Italian guide is super super passionate about the place showing us every little detail! Graffitis and engravings that left me speechless but certainly the tour guide that made this experience a truly memorable one. The cave is incredible and I can recommend a visit. Views from outside are also breathless."

"This place is amazing. It's a perfectly preserved cave with inscriptions and drawings from the Paleolithic and Neolithic era, when Levanzo was still attached to mainland Sicily as waters were much lower.
It is accessible by a boat tour, via Jeep and or walking from the main port or up from Cala del Genovese bay.
The entrance fee is €10, plus the cost of any transportation if you don't walk.
The guide, from Italy's Arts ministry, was very passionate and knowlegeable, one of the best guides I've met.
A must see.
Note: the cave is located on the west side of the island, Google maps erroneously reports the location in the port, where the boat trip starts."
