What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors are captivated by the stunning panoramic views of the Dolomites and the unique experience of enjoying a Krapfen at Rifugio Friedrich August. However, the cable car often suffers from extremely long queues, leading to frustration, and there have been reports of negative interactions in lines.
"Very long queues during ski season, waiting time - 1 hour. People are nervous. Italian lady overtook and pushed me in the queue and when I was trying to talk to her said - “Italian only”. Managers should not sell that amount of tickets if the funicular can’t handle it."

"No matter at what time you get there it’s at least a 1 hour wait in line until you can even get on the lift itself
Absolutely insane to wait in line with ski gear for over an hour thank god they are building another lift next to it this year"

"I want to share a tragic incident and injury I received when exiting the gondola in Campitello. It was 17.03.2025 at about 17:00, when exiting the gondola, the funicular worker closed the door right when I was exiting. I had 2 children with me and that's why it took us time to exit. The funicular worker simply pushed me with 2 small children out of the gondola by force, thereby causing an injury to my leg."
