Rispettosamente (non me ne vogliano i miei amici clarinettisti, tenori e melomani) ho voluto realizzare una mia base su cui eseguirla ed una mia versione senza tes...

Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Puccini Museum a poignant and well-preserved tribute to the composer's birthplace, offering a personal glimpse into his life and work. While the visit is relatively short, the historical artifacts and the intimate setting are highly appreciated, with many praising the warm and welcoming staff. Some note the slight inconvenience of purchasing tickets separately.

"Interesting visit to birthplace of famous Italian opera composer Giacomo Puccini. Half an hour visit will suffice. Composer’s Steinway grand piano, four poster bed and old librettos and costumes to view. Short leaflet/information guide included in entrance fee of €9"

Finbarr Keaveney

"A perfect tribute to Puccini’s life and music! The museum offers a beautifully curated journey through his legacy, with an unforgettable visit to his natal house. Every space was rich with history and emotion. A special thank you to the warm and welcoming staff—especially for the lovely moment we shared upon discovering I share the same name as the composer. Taking a photo together made this visit even more memorable!"

Giacomo Puccini

"We had the pleasure of visiting the Puccini Museum as part of an organised event. But the best part about visiting on your own is that it's self-paced and you can rent a tablet guide with loads of interactive information about the exhibits and more!

The museum is housed in the apartment where Puccini was born and lived until he turned 22. It's been carefully restored to its original glory, and each room today is dedicated to a different part of Puccini's life. It was fascinating to learn more about the man behind the creative genius.

Apart from some original furniture that still remains in the apartment, other highlights for me were the piano that Puccini used to play (in the first room), his letters to friends and family (in the Kitchen), his dashing portraits (in the Dining room), and a 15kg (!!) costume from the opera "Turandot".

♿ The museum is mostly accessible throughout (except for the Kitchen) and there's a special lift provided from the entrance to the floor where the apartment is located."
