K A L L M Ü N Z | GERMANY 🇩🇪 📍 Fun fact: this castle is 400 years old. The earliest walls were built in the 900s but the castle itself was constructed in the mid-1300s. It was destroyed by fire in 1504 and was rebuilt during the Thirty Years War. Afterwards it was “plundered” in the mid-1600s. "I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday. We enjoyed an aperitif in the warm and inviting bar area, welcomed by the kind bartender. We moved to inside the restaurant which boasted an inviting area with hefty wood beams, wood paneled floors, and soft lighting. The food was delicious and so beautifully presented. Our waiter was friendly and attentive and made the perfect dessert recommendation! We cannot say enough about this gem of a restaurant in the heart of Merano."
