"Unbelievable, gorgeous. Nature at its best. August 2023 it seems the lake is at an all-time low and maps make it appear much larger than it is. see recent pictures. Still worth the trip but don't be disappointed with the size of the lake. Everything else though is great. You can trek a little bit to go see a glacier from a distance as well. If you are renting a bike in town, make sure it fits you, the ride is all up hill. There is one point where the road becomes Rocky, don't be discouraged walk your bike up that hill and shortly after it turns to asphalt again. When you get to the charging station you are almost there. Make sure to bring a lock for your bike for at the end you will need to hike."

"I would say that it is a beautiful experience to reach the Miage lake (famous for its heart shape) after a nice challenging walk of about 1.30 minutes. When you arrive at the point you can refresh yourself at the refuge, enjoying a good coffee and enjoying the view and nature. Recommended experience"

"A beautiful route, with remarkable views of the Alps, culminating in a heart-shaped lake view. My partner and I took the free shuttle bus number 4 from Courmayeur, which took us to La Visaille, the final stop, in about 30 minutes. From there, it takes about an hour and a half to reach the lake, following a mostly paved road with some dirt sections and a more challenging final section with boulders.
The road is practically all uphill, rising from 1600 meters to over 2000 meters.
Highly recommended."
