What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Milan's public transport is generally efficient, with the tap-to-pay system being a highlight for its convenience and automatic fare capping. However, some city passes have received criticism for activation issues and unclear inclusions, leading some travelers to recommend booking directly.
"No app. I expected the travel pass to have been delivered electronically. No - I had to go on a 15 minute walk in the rain with my suitcase to a kiosk to get it. Then 15 minutes back to Milano Centrale station. And there's no instructions on how to use it. Tried on the metro, didn't work. Ended up using my phone to pay instead. It did however work the next day.
The pass doesn't cover all museums and no worthwhile art galleries. So if you want to see da Vinci's The Last Supper you have to book that separately.
Worst of all, I had a choice of 3 dates to go on the Duomo terrace. I picked my last night (I was tired the first, and at the San Siro the 2nd). I got to the Duomo, they scanned my ticket and told me it was for the following night. So I couldn't use it and it was already full so the Duomo people couldn't change it.
I have terminal cancer and I'll not be able to come back to Milan. I don't usually buy City Passes for this reason. I don't know why I did this time. It was a big mistake. Pretty pissed off right now. Do not buy this card. Don't be an idiot like me. Book directly yourself."

"What a very BAD customer service! In the site inform that we can use the shuttle airport of Flibco, as included; after trying clarify how it works is a discount voucher and when you arrive at airport and contact the people of Flibco, they inform that the voucher isn't that you have!!! Arriving at the shop to activate the passes the guy from Milan Pass inform that the shuttle airport isn't included ... and he know because he work there in an arrogant way, even I told him that it's in website! But in conclusion it's the person that give the correct information!"

"For short-term vacations, this service can be frustrating! The website looks appealing, which convinced us to make a purchase. However, you don’t receive everything you pay for right away. After booking, we received an email instructing us to send additional emails with specific dates to arrange the shuttle from the airport. We then had to wait up to 24 hours for the shuttle ticket. Some museums also required email confirmation and a 24-hour wait, while other tickets were received instantly.
In general, some items we paid for were received with delays, while others, like the return shuttle, we didn’t get at all. So, keep this in mind before purchasing, and consider booking a day or two in advance to ensure everything is in order before your trip."
