Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the museum for its immersive and interactive approach to showcasing Leonardo da Vinci's genius, with the submarine exhibit being a major highlight. While many find it educational and engaging for all ages, some note that it can get crowded, and booking specific exhibits in advance is crucial.
"This is amazing value for money at €10 per adult, it could be €25 per adult and still be good value. You can easily spend 2 hours or more here. The first building contains a lot of historical pieces from steel forging to the early digital age. There are 3 beautiful classic cars also. Then the second building contains a broad collection of ships and airplanes. This includes a full sized sailing ship across 3 floors. The third building was a locomotive shed (you shouldn't call them "trains" I believe). It has a collection of around 15 locomotives and trams. Finally there is a full sized submarine outside. It looks like a U-boat but maybe an Italian version? It's number didn't start with "U". Kids, especially boys would love here.
We didn't buy tickets in advance, just showed up at the building and got in immediately with no line. This was on a Thursday at around 11am."

"This is a cracking museum of science and technology. It covers quite a lot and I do mean a lot.
We had read a review that suggested to plan for a 2 to 2.5 hours visit, which turned out to be wholly inappropriate as you can easily spend the whole day there, alas we hadn't planned for food so we had to leave earlier than we would've wished."

"Another underrated tourist attraction in Milan. It's full of stories, ranging from Italian engineering to art, and technology advancement. Prepare to spend at least 2-3 hours to cover everything."
