"We loved this place. While there is currently work being done on a large part of the park it Was still worth the small cost to walk around. For us the most impressive part was the small cave church with ancient frescos of the Madonna. The staff were warm and friendly. Patient with us as we worked together to communicate about the site. Fun drive to the park also which makes it even better."

"This valley has seen settlements for over 4,000 years. Has the potential to be an amazing archaeological site. BUT is currently being allowed to fall into decay. Couldn't see any evidence of care, despite the fact they are happy to take your money for entrance.
The most disappointing thing is some development of the site has occurred at some point but even that has not been maintained. Most of the paths & stairs to individual cave sites are roughly barricaded off.
What you can see is really sadly not worth it. Nor is supporting this type of handling of such an important site.
If the country can't manage it, stop taking vistiors money & close it up until it can be looked after properly."

"Most areas are fenced off very unclear instructions seems we missed the main cave. 8 euros to see two things the Greek period school and the ancient burial ground. They are all empty so really up to your imagination to see how
They are used"
