"The medieval castle dates back to the end of the 10th century, enclosed by mighty walls on which two towers stand out, a mighty quadrangular tower to the south, a pentagonal one to the north. Various families have succeeded one another in the property, in the 13th century the Aquino family, who at that time owned it, locked up Saint Thomas Aquinas there.
