The wine tastings, often paired with delicious local food, are a highlight, offering exceptional value. "Not being a tour sort of person I didn’t expect much. Honestly it was really terrific. The ancient cellars, the vaulted ‘cathedral’ ceilings in the cave having been built in the 1500’s but home to Etruscan peoples 2500 years ago, it was quite awe-inspiring.
We were then driven out to the main vineyard to taste 6 of their wines (I think!!) and given a delicious lunch, with each wine carefully explained.
I must mention the family; the business is run front end by the owner and his two sons, one in charge of wine production and the other the marketing, delightful and knowledgeable people. It’s a small producer of 90k bottles a year (compared to some producers in the area producing 12m bottles.
The rest of the week was also lovely at this most perfect hilltop town
I can’t recommend enough 🙌🙌🙌"

"Cellar tour with incredible history and the earliest caves under the cellars being 2,500 years old. The cathedral cellar is stunning.
This was followed with a food and wine lunch pairing at the vineyard. Amazing food including wonderful vegetarian dishes in the beautiful dining room overlooking the vines.
Engaging, highly knowledgeable and passionate staff, beautiful wine, fantastic food. The Di'Ricci Chianti is one of the nicest I've had, the Sangiovese a delight. And extra thanks to Mirko for being such a great host!"

"Wonderful wine tasting with a tour of the incredible cellars. A very different feel than wine tastings in the countryside and it’s not to be missed! If you have time for only one wine tasting in town, make sure you plan this. The offer two options 3 tastings for $20 and 6 for $30. So reasonable and the wine is delicious! Definitely plan ahead so you can get the time you prefer."
