What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Museo Palazzo Zevallos Stigliano for its affordable entry, stunning Baroque architecture, and the significant presence of Caravaggio's final masterpiece. It's considered a worthwhile and manageable visit for art lovers and those seeking a cultural respite in Naples. Some find the audio guide disappointing, and while baby facilities exist, dedicated breastfeeding areas are not mentioned.
"The art gallery is housed in a former palace and is set over two floors. There is a small selection of chosen works on the ground floor and the main part is on the top floor.
As you walk in you enter an impressive hall with a stained glass ceiling. You either take the stairs or the lift to the top floor. The lift is rather quaint and I'd recommend taking a ride if you get chance. The stone staircase is also stunning and also worth a trip up. Along the staircase the walls and ceilings are highly decorated. The rooms upstairs are again highly decorated with high ornate ceilings. There are paintings with very short descriptions and some other antique pieces like marble tables to see.
We saw a Botticelli exhibition on our visit which has some impressive works.
The staff were very helpful and amenities are in good order.
Well worth a visit if you're an art enthusiast, but also a nice way to spend a spare hour or so if not.
We were there with our 11 month old who needed changing and the baby change facilities are located in the female toilets which were ok. However, we didn't come across any areas to breast feed."

"Lovely Baroque palace located in center on one of the most populated street of Naples 🇮🇹. Would not spend more then 1-2 hours here as the museum is not that big but for sure it can be a nice art break from walking and exploring the city. My favorite is also the most popular The Martyrdom of Saint Ursula by Caravaggio."

"Mostly known for having some Caravaggio pieces, there also are parts of the museum dedicated to ancient drawings on vases and modern napoli art."
