"Visiting the doll hospital was great fun. It was really cool to learn about this long standing business and how many clients they still have nowadays!
I would definitely recommend this experience. It is something totally different. Don’t expect to spend a long time here though, it takes max. 30 minutes, but it’s very much worth it. The ticket prices are also very reasonable at €3 per person.
Definitely worth your time if you’re in the area!"

"If you ever had a doll there must be part of you that wants to visit. In a month spent in Napoli, this was the most fascinating and enjoyable and best visit I made. After visiting the museum, you get to meet the 4th generation hospital doctor who gives you a talk, and then you get to watch a wonderful and wacky short film where the dolls in the wall talk to you. If there is one thing you do in Naples go visit . I think it was only 3 euro. Don't miss it!!"

The Art of Doll Restoration
Visitors often express awe at the skill and care involved. It’s fascinating to see how a doll with a 'big belly problem' or a sheep made of worn-out materials can be brought back to life. The process is a testament to the enduring emotional value of these childhood companions. Many of the plush patients brought in belong to parents or grandparents who want to pass them on to younger generations, highlighting the intergenerational connection to these toys.
This commitment to repair rather than replacement is a powerful message in today's disposable culture. It celebrates the history and sentimentality attached to toys, offering a unique perspective on consumption and preservation. The Ospedale delle Bambole stands as a beacon of this craft, inviting visitors to appreciate the magic of bringing old friends back to life.
A Nostalgic Experience for All Ages
Children, on the other hand, are often captivated by the sheer wonder of a 'hospital' for dolls. The idea of toys being cared for and fixed is magical to them. It's a place where their imagination can run wild, and they can see their favorite characters brought back to life. The short film featuring 'talking dolls' further enhances this sense of enchantment, making the visit an interactive and memorable adventure for younger guests.
This blend of historical preservation and whimsical storytelling makes the Ospedale delle Bambole a unique destination. It’s not just about looking at old toys; it’s about connecting with the emotions and memories they represent. Whether you're reliving your past or creating new magical moments for your children, the Doll Hospital offers a heartwarming and unforgettable experience.
