Reviews Summary

Visitors appreciate the historical charm of Orbetello, particularly the Governor's Palace and the lively Piazza Eroe dei Due Mondi, often described as the heart of the town. The Garibaldi statue adds a significant historical touch. While the walls are mainly for external viewing, the overall atmosphere and architectural features are well-regarded.

"The bell tower of the Palazzo dei Governatore (Governor's Palace), also known as the Spanish Palace or the Pavilion Palace, is visible from afar. The building dates back to the 17th century and features a five-arched portico. In the center of the facade is a monumental statue of national hero Giuseppe Garibaldi, a work by the sculptor Ettore Ferrari. Garibaldi stopped in Orbitello during the Campaign of the Thousand."

"..it's a beautiful building!!…it's located in Piazza Eroe dei Due Mondi!!…the heart of the city!!…a very lively square today!!…also because of the stalls!!…it's the Governor's Palace!!…so I'm right in Orbetello!!…a city located in the lagoon of the same name and which is attached to Monte Argentario by a road built on a dam!!…which divided the lagoon in two parts!!…the Governor's Palace was built on a pre-existing structure!!…and specifically to house the seat of government!!…I'll start by saying that I've only seen it from the outside!!…it has two floors!!…with a five-arched portico!!…and in the center you can see the beautiful bell tower!!…the Clock Tower!!…it's said that the clock was restored a few years ago!!…it has a round gray face!!…and the hands too!!…and the hours are marked in black!!…but in the center of the portico you can also notice the bust of Joseph Garibaldi!!…what can I say!!…still a beautiful building in Orbetello!!…it's the Governor's Palace!!..Tuscany to discover!!…🎉⬆️👌‼️"
