The sandy portion of the beach is very tiny but would provide entry if you are going to swim. The rest of the waterfront is lava rock--ouch! Other reviews say they sunbath here??? I think you'd need a mattress to not feel those rocks! Aside from the small sandy portion, there's not a place to jump in because of the rocks. The water is lovely and clear. There's lots of litter unfortunately."
